Those .67 EVO with .80 P/L in them scream. I have one that I put a MAC .550 carb on.

You will think the devil is coming for ya if you get them singing.

Use the fat pipe from Andy. The one with the 2 rear cones that looks like a Christmas tree ornament.

Don't go to short it will hit a wall and it will not gain any extra RPM. It will gust be hard to launch.

Get a cheep V block from Ebay. Put it in a vice and then put one end of the crank in it with the clamp that come with it. use a small piece of brass stuffing tube under the clamp screw. Make it just tight enough to spin the crank with no play. then put a mag base dial indicator on the vice. Now spin the crank and check the run out. Bump the crank till it is at 0 movement.

Then get some one to just tack the pin on both sides of the crank with a TIG welder no filler rod just a tack.

It most probably has already moved some.

If not it will !!!!!

Here are some pics with a .500 zoom carb and the twin plug head on it in my mono.

The .550 MAC and a brass head button made it rev real good.

Surprised a few 1.01 X monos.

Any .80 HR P/L will drop right in.

David is right. The CMB 67 fat belly pipe was the fastest pipe we ever ran on the 67 and 80 EVO engines....and that combo really fast! 87 mph heat racing speed back in 1995.

BTW- We built that Twin 67 Eagle for Art McMeans at Tidewater back in 1993. He raced it for the first time at the 93' St. Louis Internats. The boat was running mid 80's with a pair Picco 67's that week. That brings back memories as I set the .67 SAW record at that same Internats. 86 mph with my regular Eagle 67 race boat, full turnfin and all...not to mention hot, humid weather.

I built that pair of CMB 77's for Bradley's father, Larry in 1994 when he bought the boat from Art. The engines have CMB 85 P/L's in them. The last time I saw that Twin run was at the Iowa Internats in 2000.

I just went through those engines for Bradley and the P/L's are still in perfect condition.

Sam,

That monster of yours is a beast! Look forward to Mt. Vernon race already.

It will be way more fun with more than just you and me like October.

Now I have to go shovel snow.

Chris,

We might be able to bring that out sometimes later this year to run.........we are already covered up with classes we are running now between, Larry, Brad, Brooklyn, and myself (10-13) at each race

Can't wait till later spring to do some racing.

I always use 3 times the work & resources for a twin Curtis! Cubic money is always the kicker, that and a fuel agreement!!! Your dad will remember the "Logghe Pro Power fuel. Sure wish my old bud Ron Logghe was able to join me running boats again. Great memories!!

Thanks, John
