Turn fin

Quick question,

ok guys I know most of these questions are trial and error depending on what rigger and the set up your running. I need to sharpen a raw turn fin. I need to know which side to sharpen. Does the leading edge of the sharpened blade touch the sponson or does it go toward the tub side? Which is the the better type of turn fin straight or the curved bottom type? Thanks. Navy Dave

With the turn fin mounted to the sponson you would sharpen the starboard side and a curved fin for a rigger.Hope this helps

The turn fin should have a bend at the bottom. This a critical bend and area. The bend should be about 17 degrees. GTT

So are you saying the leading edge(knife edge) should be closest to the centerline of the boat or toward the ouside of the boat? thanks
