The twin cone plug head on the 3.5 seemed very effective at removing any throttling difficulties and it had tremendous power in the corners but detonation was a problem with the compression ratios I normally ran. I didnt pursue it, as firstly it would be impossible to run high compression ratios because chamber shape made the squish band ratio too low and then secondly the engine needed a watercooled crankcase not head because of the 2 plugs and that was more things to do. I do run twin cone plug heads in .90 and .45 and have done for years. My tests have always shown better laptimes with those heads.
