Anyone have experience with the Tiger King Gas Engine? I am finishing up a new Gas Rigger and need to know what carb I should buy and anything else that I should know about this engine.

Thanks,

Marty Davis

Marty,

Go to Jim's Boat Dock and ask this question, a lot of people there have had experience with the Tiger King.

Get a 1048 from Run Buck he builds it with a stainless shaft > NO BRAKEING shaft ...

Our TK 27 runs great in our rigger with the original MAC 67 long horn carb.

This is second run on engine. Started out rich and leaned it in toward the end of the run. Yes, it has a third channel mixture valve.

No pipe pressure Corey, just draw.

Carb is .510" bore. I don't know how big it could go on draw only, but I suspect it can go bigger. At least .550 if the carb is designed correctly.

saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?
Yeah Ron next thing you know Marty will be running a MONO, or as Fred used to call them "Rock boats". :)

Marty! All of our nitro buddies are shaking their heads about your GAS boat! Go ahead and put the nitro carb on it. It we "feel" and "sound" right when you back off the throttle as it goes into the rich cackle mode! And it will have more torque when you pull full throttle again. Way better for the engine too!

Don't float the main stream!

Have you got a carb for me that will work? Is a 9B big enough?

I'll check and see what I might have Marty. I had a pic of our set up, but can't find it. We have to take another one and post it later.

Andy...did you use a fuel bag or a hard tank with hopper inside like Nitro? Was your 3rd channel a fine needle or a course? Thx for info...
