I apologize if it's posted somewhere. Could have swore I saw it at one time. What's the price of the kit?

The THOR kits will be sold both with and without the cowling. The Laser Thor Kit (without the cowling) is $198. The Cowling is $51.75 and if you are interested in MOD-VP, the Laser Mod-VP Pod is $42.50. The Carbon Cowling will be available soon after if you are interested in getting the full "hammer" effect and they will be $125. Prices do not include shipping. To play it safe with a new supplier, we initially ordered a small production quantity of 10 kits and we just recently received these. After reviewing these initial kits, and how they were burned, packed and secured, we have now placed a much larger order.

Once we receive this next order, the wait time will be much more reasonable. We will call & email you once your kit arrives and will make payment arrangements then. I have printed every persons request and it has the time and date of each order. So don't worry about your kit request because the hard copies are all in date order on what we call the "Thor Board" in the shop.

OK, $249 for a kit. Sorry, but with all do respect that is $100+ more than any other 20 size kit on the marked. I'm passing for now.

Shane, There are over 60 at this point.

Tim, We knew that some would fall off the initial list. When the Lynx came out it was the highest priced boat of its class on the market too. It was priced at $335+ shipping in 2004 when other similar models were selling in the 185-195 range . It caused people to buy $100 boats by the hundreds but they never made the cut. Now the $100 dollar boat is gone.

Everybody has their price. No problem.

Carl,

I think $198 is an excellent deal for this kit, plus the $51.75 for the cowling. Just let us know when to send you the money. I wanted to confirm, the cowling you will be providing as part of your kit is fiberglass and gel coated, correct? Its not a plastic cowling you had moulded or a Dumas plastic cowling, correct? That may help others better understand the value you are providing. The TS-3 fiberglass cowling alone is $75!!!....lol

Ron,

Yes, you are correct. The cowling is 2-ply fiberglass & comes gelcoated white and does not require painting unless you just want to add a color.

We will not except money until the kits are here. I will email you once they are ready. The finished strength of the model is comparable to a fully carbon hull. Everybody knows that full carbon boats are not priced the same as standard models. I feel like the people that build this kit will race it for a long long time.

Sorry, but there are many, many $100 kits still out ( VS-1/ Villains, and other 20 size also like the whip). Not to mention newer kits like the ML Boatworks kits. So no they are not gone by any means.

Back to the subject...

Yes, we ran the "custom stick built" version of the boat. Let me know if you change your mind.

Any video to show us all, will do. Fyi, I have never been hesitant to pay for a quality item.

There is also something to be said for an all American designed and manufactured product. "$100.00" alternatives, the MLS boat works excluded, tend to be putting $$$ overseas.

Having tried and raced against many other hull types, I, and i think many others, was surprised at just how much better an FE Lynx really is. It will be interesting to see how the THOR compairs.

Carl put me down for another boat. I want to build one for sport and mod. Both with glass cowls.

Thanks

Carl can the mod vp pod be added after the boat is built or does the boat need to be built with provisions for the pod?
