 Yup, greenpeace types at it again. reading that makes me hungry.

Better get the rifle, Shoot me a spotted owl for my sandwich and pour me some shine from the still out back. O' and then take a healthy crap in the O'l hole in the ground outhouse. And I will use a silencer on the rifle, tell no one about the sandwich,, and hide the still & outhouse with a pile of brush while farting quietly.

All this at my little squatters ranch along side the lake.

:D Scott

Interesting mental image....

Hey Don Do you have the Phone # to Green Peace? Maybe we should send them the MSDS sheets on fuel we blow into the lake. To see if they approve? City Park?? What ya Think they will say??? Jackson Tn had 450 plus boats racing for 7 days X approx 20oz per Boat 5 rounds of racing plus Saw and the 2 laps events. Plus Special events. Hmmmmmmmm Should have been a Pollution problem there somewhere? & a Grease slick too.... the Noise is Not Sxit compared to the Fuel we blow into the water at Local Races... The Current Noise deal with IMPBA is Working. But some are still Not HAPPY....

That group belongs to the ID 10 T club... As in ID10Ts.. Can't wait till I build a pond on my land.. Glad they know what is best for me. :(

Guess it takes all kinds in this world now a days..

That is a very scary thought.

Almost as bad as the PETA activists at the first Bass Tournament that I participated in. We got back to the weigh in and there were like 50 PETA activists laying on the pavement kicking and flopping around and talking about how they represented the fish out of water that we were catching (and releasing).

Not to mention the $5,000 plus donation from the tourney that was raised for the local hatchery for research. That is all overlooked when these tree hugging freaks go to their extremes.

I understand and appreciate their ideals, but many of their approaches are so rediculous. IT is VERY scary.

Jay Did the Dummies get up off the cement after the Donation was announced??? There will always be a few in the crowd....... Sometimes More than a few...?

WE have had Several 300lbs plus women setting on buckets fishing where we practice Boats at. Always complaining about the boats. But I will assure you they are capable of gassing up the place & making a mess of the air than any Boat ever will..... Then there is always the guy walking the DOG Crapping everwhere and anywhere complaining about the Boats..... Boy you just got to love that Guy too???? Buy a JETSKI.................... They already comply....... Hit the Lake. Problem Solved......

Most municipalities already have noise and speed laws already on their books so what good are these Bozo's doing?

These whiners are everywhere. A local race track that has been around as long as I have had a trailer park built next door then they had the balls to bitch about the noise of the stock cars! If you live near an Airport, expect a plane to take off or land. Live near the RR tracks? Probably a train will come through! Deal with it! I have to. I live not too far from a train switching yard, an Airport who's North/South runway flight path is over my house and a Ballfield on the other side of the railyard that blows off fireworks at least once every 2 weeks. Downtown, Festivals almost every Summer weekend with loud music that I can hear inside my house! Yes, I have to deal with all of this. The cost of living near to where I work.

Jay, they must have thought that it said Ass Tournament as they were the ones who showed theirs! Should have tossed some lures and see if they'd bite. :D

Seriously though I sure hope none of these "NPC" goofballs ever come across one of our beloved boat ponds!

Despite, all of the debate about 95 db(A) or 93 db(A) or where to put the meter, etc. that has gone on, it is well for us to remember that our hobby basically exists by the charity of the parties that own or control the water. As long as we are transparent to these folks things are fine. As soon as we become an issue we are expendable. 30 years ago I was at the pond when the owner told us to fold our tent. A neighbor didn't like the sound. Debate over db levels was irrelevant. The mere presence of the sound was the issue. The owner didn't need the hassle-we were out.

Strikingly similar to the save the manatee club in Florida. Did you notice how much money it wants to raise over the next three years? The person sits at home, does most of the work on the computer and sets it up as a business to pay him/herself a big salary. People who start these things know that they can get money from uninformed and uneducated people. They get the law on their side because fines=money. All about extracting money. Has nothing to do with protecting anything.

That is a sad group of people with too much time on their hands. Isee they are based in Vermont, isnt that the state with the large "alternative lifestyle" population?Did they go after the Harley Davidson bunch that cruises those lakes on the weekends NO! I pity the fool who shows up at any lake i race at or any other lake i go to, then it's time for a beatdown <_< <_< <_< <_< <_<

Want more proof? The last time I tested my RC boat (a public lakeside facility) the fish and game guys drove up in their boat and thought my boat was the coolest thing. The law is not the problem. It is the socialists that live among us.

Ok, 45 mins later, cop shows up and pulls out his gun.. Radar gun that is :D That was cool!!! Had a blast talking to him for a bit..

I was at monee resevoir in Monee Illinois running my electric cat and the forest preserve police oficer came and told me two completely BS things....#1he told me there are no lakes within the forest preserve district that allow people to run any boats on the lakes and #2 that no mechanical devices where allowed on the lake since they pollute the water

#1 Twin lakes is withing the forest preserve district and as far as I know they still hold dist. 4 races there..actually just a few weeks ago

#2 I found it funny that the forest preserve rents out john boats for fishing at that same lake and when he was telling to pack up a guy walked by with two 12 volt batteries and a trolling motor to hook up to the John boat....get me wrong, but isnt a trolling motor a mechanical device???? Wonder what dropping a 12 volt battery in the lake would do to the echo system

If there were no laws, regs, or ordinances against what you were doing then you did not have to pack up and leave. Many times I have been confronted and the first thing out of my mouth is "any law against what I am doing?" If not, then I don't care if it was President Bush, I would keep running my boat.

The Chesapeake, VA police even gave me a calling card.
