 My Gawd !! That collection is truly something worth being in a museum for the technically incline :D If you counted the man hours building some of those engines the collection is truely priceless. Such a shame to scatter it. Scott

Let's see if I can get the pics to show?

Okay, here it is. Twin cylinder opposed, two cycle, spark ignition, scale model of a 1930's Johnson racing outboard. Completely scratch built.

And the internals of the powerhead - everything scratch built but the screws, spark plugs, and the gas cap:

I remember one time I,ummm....never mind ,that was gonna be a complete lie.

Just spent a few hours looking over this collection,I wonder about the snot holes (heirs) that are squabbling over that mess.lol

Nobody's squabbling over the Johnson outboard. My dad built it in 1936 when he was 21. It's mine now. B)

BTW, go to the Cabin Fever Show site and see the scale V-12 Rolls Royce Merlin a guy built from scratch. Along with numerous scratch-built scale radial aircraft engines. And too many steam engines to count.

Yes, indeed, quite a lot of talent out there. I wish I had more of it, too. And time to use it.

Thanks Mike, that would be cool.

Years ago, I saw an inmate build one entirely from toothpicks! You'd have to see it for yourself. Around 18 in. wingspan.

LOL....nope, it was square toothpicks. He was building them in sets...WWII Allied Forces, Axis Forces etc. I guess he had a lot of time on his hands. :D
