Here are the other three. Keep in mind that each “local” club may have some variation to which motors they allow. The three I mention in the FE guide are widely accepted on a national basis for race events.Hey Sean, What are the other 3 P spec motors besides the 3 that are mentioned in the guide that you posted?
Thanks,
Mark
The original Super Vee motor: SuperVee 27 Brushless Motor L36/56 (1550kv) This motor has been phased out by the manufacturer. You can still find it though. http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=dh-aqug7000&cat=52
The new Aquacraft SuperVee 27R motor (1800kv). It comes with the new version of the Super Vee RTR. Some local clubs have not yet adapted this to their allowable list of “Spec” motors, but I suspect it will be allowed in the future as it comes with a production RTR boat from Aquacraft and replaces the old version of the motor. http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=dh-aqug7002
The other one is the Himax HB3630-1500 Brushless – 6-Pole brushless motor. Similar, if not the same as the ProBoat 3630-1500 motor.
Again, I would check with your local FE racers to see what motors they are running. The three listed in the FE spec guide are a safe bet locally.
Almost forgot… the brushed 700 motors are still allowed as well, but they can’t keep pace with today’s brushless motors.
