Took some time to understand the tuned ex on this eng.
It is ass backwards to a single cyl eng. The ex chest as thy call it shares 3 cyl on each side. The firing order makes 2 cly in each side a paired set as thy call it. the ex pulse from one opening plugs the ex on its mate.
Then the scavenging is done on each side of the chest with a tune pipe.
Ex timing and transfer timing mean a lot in how the eng plugs the cylinder. Also the volume of the chest and the distance between the paired cylinders to set the RPM that the pugging happens best.
My head was spinning trying to figure it all out and make the changes to the eng.
Here is the custom tune pipe on this eng build. Also the cutting in the chest and timing changes on the sleeves I hope will all pan out.
I will finally have a 100+MPH boat..............Difference is I will be in it.........LOL
