sure that would be great!do you think you could make a full size copy ? i'd gladly pay for your trouble

thanks john

Hi John I found the instruction sheet today and took some pics. I can have a copy made and sent no problem as I want a printed and scanned copy myself but it might not be right away. I am in the middle of reworking my house and all my boat stuff is packed away for the most part. When it all gets opened up again I have quite a few things for the copy shop to do for me.

The only place that can copy plans for me is close to an hour away and I want to make it all in one trip if I can so thats what I'm shooting for.

Meanwhile I uploaded some pictures of the plan for you in my picture album here, I'm sure it will jog a few memories for you. Good luck with your boat and keep us posted!

if you havent built your eaglet yet, trace out the parts so we can make more, just got a new bandsaw and disk sander im ready to build!

Hold off on splitting that hull it wouldn't be hard to plot out some dimensions at the bulkhead locations and the plans. Thats what I had planned to do when I'm set up to cut mine.

It is a straight bulkhead design so about the only thing you have to freehand is the crown of the deck and thats easy. The rest is all top view cutouts for the outline of the hull, and sheeting is always spotted in freehand anyways so you really dont need an accurate tracing of those kit parts.

The Eaglet I already have traced and that gets put through the copier same time.

Congrats on the new tools! Mine are waiting to be used as soon as I get my place workways this summer.

I think this boat is an old NAMBA sanctioned hull.

It's a good question though because that rule has some gray area.

Is there anyone we can submit this hull to and have it looked at for that reason? For me, it would be good to know if I would be able to toss it in a race sometime. I have plans for it just to be a fun runner so far.
I am the mono director for IMPBA and can tell you if it is legal. Looking at what I can see it is legal. I cannot see under the boat so that would still be in question. I would be glad to look at it if you want a legal interpretation. It is similar to a boat I designed and set the 20 mono record with in that it is a delta type design. My boat has a deep vee bottom where this boat has a shallow vee bottom. Shallow vee bottoms slide thru the corners rather than banking like a deep vee. They are a bit tricky to drive on the buoys and with the wakes made by deep vee boats it would be hard to finish a race if your desire is heat racing. They are very fast though if straight line speed is what you want.

Thank you, John

I can see where the hull would be pretty fast with such a small flat ride pad. Nice to know its a slider those can be fun and what I would probably feel more comfortable driving even knowing it can hop bad with other boats. I imagine some center skeg tuning is going to be added to the mix.

Definitely gonna need an anti skid fin. I have had sliding boats and they can be fun to drive. Right now I have a jersey skiff that is a blast to drive in the corners. It doesn't slide. It climbs up on it's side.
