Summer project build JAE Twin 21 - based on the JAE twin 45, just need to fit radio gear and paint, powered by 2 CMB VAC 21's

thanks David,

will hopefully have it finished soon, have never built a twin 21 before, everything is quite tight for room, next step, the stand,

I got the twin 45 plan and took it to the copiers and shrunk the whole plan down to around 34" in length, about 15-20% smaller, it seemed to give just the right size

Cool looking boat. I like how far back the motors are. Some videos when it's done. :) :)

Nice boat........Just a word to the wise.......get longer boom tubes and get those sponsons spread apart......you will be happy you did..... ;)

If the tub is about the length of the JAE21G2 you are going to want the sponsons 24" outside to outside....

You are also going to want solid boom tubes, not hollow.....

thanks Rod,the boom tubes are solid, purchased from Joe at Zipp kits, it is just a exact scaled down version of the twin 45 JAE, so I built exactly to the plan including the boom widths. the boat is longer than the 21G2, approx 33-34" and the beam is approx 23-24, the photos dont really show how big the hull is, I will make a spare set of boom rods as a spare and experiment with the width

cheers

Shane
