This seems to be similar to a program that was used, by hackers, a few years back. It's attached to a junk email and, once in your computer, sends out emails to everyone on your contact list. We had a member of an organization we were members of get hit by it. The resulting emails were a variety of messages asking for financial help. The one we got said he was in Africa, helping someone out and he needed funds to get home. Only problem is we were with him and his wife, at their home, when the email arrived.

Stu, you might want to take your computer in and have it professionally cleaned Just in case that's all this is, a virus or worm

Yes, I got hacked. All of my email contacts have gotten or will receive a bogus email from me. Please delete immediately. They even emailed my bank and requested to wire transfer the balance of my account out. I am told by a few people that this will be the next big cyber attack posing as customers of a bank and will try to steal your money. The way this happened all looked very legitimate. Sorry about the problem. I change my password and this should stop future emails that are not authorized.

No problems getting into my AOL mail. I've been having some problems with AOL long before I got that.

If you're looking for it, AOL Mail can be up to a 3-step process. Once it's read it goes into old mail. If you deleted it, it's still around until you go into Permanenty Delete Mail.

If you went into Dropbox then it probably attacked your computer.

Anyone have any bad side effect from the mail? I still can't get to my mail with IE, and I've run the latest malware scan. Mozilla works ok, but something stil is out of order in IE, Guess I could reload IE and see what that does or any suggestions.

Restart your computer in safe mode. Then run a full system virus scan using the latest updates and a strong antivirus such as Trend Micro. This will help totally clean your system. Good luck.
