I have not built a mono since the stinger struts came out. I see how the strut is adjustable. But how far does the stuffing tube go into the stinger. In too far and none of those adjustable things things will work,. too far back into the tub and? what will happen..

How should i attache the stuffing tube to the hull?

thanks

Depends on the mfg. some stop the tube at the transom, and some run it all the way thru the strut, either way the tube hole in the transom need to be slotted for the adjustment.

Anthony run the tube as far as you can into the stinger, all the way to the end is ok. Mount your egine & bend the tube to line up while still fitting under the radio box. Make an angled hardwood block to epoxy to the hull under the front of the tube to mount it to, then rough up the tube well & fiberglass it to the block. Mounted this way, the tube is supported at both ends & has enough movement at the rear for adjustment. Just a FYI, that boat will like about as low as you can go & close to 0° trim. I need to send you a prop that it liked, my seaducers didn't.

With the Speedmaster.... You run the Tube 1/8 into the piece that is bolted to the transom. the Length of the strut is adjustable & has its own tube. This allows you to change the angle & some of the newier Speedmaster Stinger Drives are slotted so you can raise them or lower them on the transom.......

Is your mono going to be a gas or a nitro boat?

nitro,.. and it is the SM strut,.. with slots and adjustments.. I ran just into the back plate so that I could adjust the stinger
