Just wanted to say to my Fla brothers - be safe , this one is NO JOKE . Hope my boating buddies down south took heed to the warnings.

Interstate I-10 Westbound (near our house) is bumper to bumper and moving at 10 - 15 mph.

It will change again in the next 24 Hr. Tomorrow morning we will know where it is going.

Chits starting to get tropical fast here now- power has flickered off 5 or 6x but managed to come back so far- thank God.

Gonna be a looong night as it rolls in on us , stay safe guys.

The storm is at Nubs as we speak and headed for Andy Brown today. Hope everyone is well and all you Tampa guys and gals are safe and sound. Anyone lucky enough to have power?

Paulette and I have Max and are in a hotel in Pensacola. Jay went to Ft Lauderdale solo at the last minute, so he could get back to Cape Coral faster and do whatever to get the office moving. Insurance agents need to be there for people after the storm. Even if it's just to hold their hand and give out claims direction and policy info.

I will be driving back I-10 tomorrow morning and back down I-75 in the late afternoon. Hope their is gas and the power to pump it somewhere along I-75. Also hoping to have a roof to sleep under when we get back. Could be a couple weeks to get power.

Wow - Just got power back on since my last post Sunday- Been a rough week even tho damage was minimal to what it could have been. As expected for a cable lineman- work has been busy as hell. trying to get everyone up and running again. I can tell ya , its good to be home- in the ac - enjoying tv and internet again. Hope the rest of you guys and gals faired well

We got our power/water back at midnight last night.

We did ok but my neighborhood is pretty tore up. Huge trees down everywhere. Lots of powerpoles and lines were on the ground.

I'M BESIDE MYSELF - Got a call from HR today and my mind went - " What did I do wrong " - lol . Robin proceeded to tell me that my supervisor shared with them , we had been without power for 4 days-ect. My new employer as of March , is going to pay for all our lost food that spoiled- and any damage we got. I about cried, its few and far between that an employer in this day and age steps up to the plate and takes care of the field workers to this level. I WILL retire here, Thank You Spectrum and Charter. You guys are the best .To say that I'm amazed is beyond words....
