Starting from “scratch”

Hi guys! Back into the saddle again and trying to resurrect the passion and hole in the wallet.


I have a perfect little Microburst hull (42 inch in length) that I ran yeaaars ago. It’s has all the speedmaster hw, hopper tank, etc etc.

I originally built the boat around a MAC .67 blue-head and it was a rocket-ship. Then, I thought bigger would be faster and dropped in a CMB91. It was maybe a bit slower and a pain to crank over but oh well.


I parked the boat for 15 years and the CMB completely froze up. All bad but the case was salvageable.


Given I have been out of the hobby for so long, could anyone suggest a motor option?? Don’t have the parts nor patience for the CMB rebuild.

I would suggest another MAC-67 if I was you or a CMB-67.
Plenty are out there on the used marketplace. It will be a
Rocket again.

Thank you mark! I will go back to the 67. Mac or CMB.

I can’t post in the classifieds yet but if anyone has a hot motor in spectacular shape, I’m a buyer.
