I built a Sport 40 Wood Whip awhile ago and has not seen water yet, I am using a CMB motor and pipe, using 50% nitro and am above 5000 ft. I am looking to see what everyone has used or what has worked so I can get this bad boy ready for spring testing. Any help would be great

Thanks Beau

ABC 2014 2 Blade

Octura 450/2 or 3 blade.

If not enough prop try

ABC 2015 2 BLADE

Octura 452/2 or a 455/2

Beau,

At your elevation you should start out with an ABC 1915-17-45%.

I think you will have problems pulling a 2014 or 2015 at your altitude.

Have Fun Testing,

Mark Sholund

Beau,

Octura X-448/2

ABC 1915-17-45

These are your two best choices to start with. I have both if you want to test with them before buying.

I had to pad the front sponsons on my Whip 45

Also issues with fuel draw with tank having to be mounted so far behind the motor.

Getting ready to make a change in tank location

Doc,

by chance can you send me some photos of the pads you added on the front and what the tank location was before and after? if you could that would be awesome, sounds like I might have some issues before it even hits the water.

THanks Beau
