For sale.
I have a 80's built, from Roger Newton Plans, 1964 Miss Notre Dame, Sport 40 Shovelnose Hydro, that I have decided to finally let go. All glassed, wood hull, with K&B epoxy paint & clearcoat. Hull is 45 1/2" long and the beam is 20", and it weighs in at 13lbs, as it sits. I acquired this awhile ago from a expert modeler's estate, with the intention of keeping it on display in my hobby room, but I'm running out of room, and I'm really a airplane guy. This hydro is in very nice condition, as I don't believe it has never touched the water. Paint is very nice, with really no scratches in it. All the graphics are clearcoated over, and sanded down, glass smooth. The front hatch however had a gouge in the paint (see pic #7) at one time, and has only had a miscolored touchup done to it. Hull was modeled after the famous "Miss Notre Dame" 1964 Hydroplane. This is a almost ready to run hull. The only things needed are: Engine, flexshaft, turn fin, prop, & radio. This baby is dying for a scale driver, and a Allison V-12 up front! Please study the pictures well to confirm what I have told you. I've got nothing to hide on this boat. It's that nice! I would be interested in a possible large scale aircraft trade(comparable condition please), or engine.
Please call or email me with any questions that you may have.
