Don,
Yes I still use spyder foam from ACP. It is some nice hard stuff and easy to buy the size you need.

I have never seen klegecell before and would like to compare.

Terry,

I have tried CA and kicker on foam and found that after the first sheet goes on I have trouble with the kicker setting off the CA next to the seam of the next sheet. How do you avoid this?

I never really experienced that, maybe you're using too much kicker? What I do it spray some on the plywood and let it almost dry, then stick it down.

Mike P,

I have thought about trying the SpyderFoam, but I've been concerned about epoxy absorbsion. I would think the linear cells of the SpyderFoam would "wick" the epoxy more than the closed cell foam. The linear cell foam has some interesting possibilities that I would like to look into if this is not a problem. Have you inspected you work for this? What have you found? Just curious.

Thanks. Brad.

I have found that adding silica to the epoxy helps reduce absorbsion.

Been there. It sucks! I usually sheet one sponson then set it aside and sheet the next. This still doesn't always allow enough time for the kicker to evaporate. The other option is to CA the ply and not the foam. Or be patient and not use kicker. But who has that much time to waist. :)
