Got in a full day of running with the new Speedmaster, mono's are alot of fun. I get to compete locally with 4 Seaducers.

The boat runs loose I would like to tighten it up a bit, It also needs to get off the corner and up to speed quicker this is where I am falling behind the seaducers.

Mike,

You need an ABC 40 x 52/3 and you will be out front. I have three in stock, but

I am pretty well booked up for a few weeks. This is 3 to 5 MPH faster than the

X-440/3.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

I am using a x440-3. The center of the prop shaft is 1/4" above the keel 0deg.

Mark send me one please when you get caught up.

Mike, that's a little high on the strut. dropping it will tighten the boat up some. I'm running the 440/3 and it's not dropping RPM through the corners. As a matter of fact, cornering is it's strong point. If you are not running the long parabolic, you may want to try it because it has more grunt than the other parabolic pipes.

Leave the strut flat and make your adjustments with the tabs. If you try to tighten the boat up with the strut, you will kill the cornering speed. The tabs will have less effect in the corners but will keep the boat down the straights.

I lowered the strut as low as it will go now, I had to remove some material off the bottom of the strut and bracket. I noticed that I had some positive angle in it before. Now with it flat I am still at 1/4" I think this should help.

Joe, when you make trim tab adjustments how much do you turn the screw each time? I was making 1/4 turns and noticed changes after 1/2 to 3/4 turn total.

Maybe you have another way of adjusting trim tabs.

Thanks Mike

I've got about 3/4 of a turn in each of mine now. That's starting from flat. The boat is free but not loose if that makes sence. I'm running and 8 oz tank up front and a 2 oz on the CG. The main tank is a metal tank that is only 2 inches long which keeps the CG pretty consistant. It's 15 inches from the transom.
