Hi, I am looking for some setup help on a new SG 45 build please. I bought this hull in primer, finally got it painted today (cheers Benny). The booms have only been drilled once, one side lines up fine, the other lines up also but the rubber grommets at the sponsons need to be removed. This is where the confusion lies. Any help would be great, like offset of the sponsons either side, angles, CG etc, If more info is required please let me know.

Any info is much appreciated.

Thanks, Norm

Norm that is a real nice build love the orange who makes that orange

Gary

Thanks Gary, appreciate it.

The colour is Valiant Charger Vitamin C, the E48 and E49 were a legend back in the day, 4.3L triple Weber 6 cylinder engine. They nearly won Bathurst (the holy grail of Australian car racing) but were the fastest accelerating production vehicle in the early 70's. Even beat the GTHO Fords with 351 Cleveland. Anyway, I had a Charger when I was 18 and miss it dearly, 38 years old and still dream about owning it, I could tell you a few stories but anyway.

If you want the paint code let me know and I will ask the guys where I get it mixed.

Norm,

Hi Norm. I have the setup sheets for the SG and SGX 45 and the measurments Gary sent you are correct for the SG as well, you may make small changes on the sponson AOA depending on different props and water conditions but those measurements are pretty much perfect for heat racing.

Thanks guys,

Just ordering a pipe for the 46DD, is the 50901 pipe the go please? Any suggestions welcome but want to stick to the NR pipes.

Thanks Elias,

I have a 46DD ready to go, first time running a rigger so I might have the shakes for the first couple of runs.

Hi Norm,

my pipe i have new in box is the Nova 50901 - which was what was recommended to me when I originally bought the 46DD, but as I sold my 46DD, I have no use for the pipe - $70 including postage to you

cheers

Shane

Can anyone suggest which remote needle base this was drilled for? The centres are 14mm or 9/16.

A pic of a linkage/radio box setup would really help me out also,

Thanks for every ones help.
