Only leagal in IMPBA Off Shore class with that mod.
Doesn't the IMPBA rule state no steps in the 'wetted surface when operating at racing speed"? Clearly the tip of the bow is

not a wetted surface at racing speed. I think this one may be legal by the definition of a monohull, and the wetted surface when at racing speed does not include the front 10% of the bow.

I agree Jon, that is not illegal. but that adition when it does stuff will make it alot harder to pull out of the mud. LOL Just Kidding.

Peace Tom

I did not mention that it 's a seaducer and I never stuff any more during the lasts two years of competition :D :D :D

ISNT THE WHOLE BOAT CONSIDERED A WETTED SURFACE ON A SEADUCER?

bring it on i would love to see your submarine i mean seaducer up here in vegas run against my calcraft. especially when its 120 deg. out and at 2500 feet. i have had seaducers and they dont run as good as the calcrafts!its pretty bad when you have to design a special strut with 3 to 5 degrees of cant to make the boat go down the straight without turning or hooking.thats about as bad as telling your son well if you cant stand up straight let me build you a spacer for the right side of your shoe so you will stand up straight.its just a bandaid for a problem.

We in the Midwest and Mid south love our Seaducers and not many go to Davy Jones locker. Tom you love it when you fish for Ducers with that log chain.Hil lBilly Twin B)

no dissrespect to jerry crowther. i give him a lot of credit for being a model boat manufacture. if it wasnt for guys like him the hobby wouldnt be what it is today. i guess is just a ford-chevy thing.

Yesterday I trim my seaducer for the next season of race ,it's perfect 57 mph , like on rails even on choppy water I love my Seaducer.

In europe our races are longer ,we need 2 liters of methanol to be abble to race at least 14 minutes in the final ,so we can't follow exactly the instructions of Jerry Crowther.

I use seaducer for 5 years and it's a great boat :D :D :D

This is a totally absurd statement ! Thats like saying putting wedge in a roundy round car (Nascar ) is improper . If I ever make it to Las Vegas I look forward to racing you ...and mine is not even fast .

Or maybe he could come out here and show us how it's done Tom,plus he would be the only CalCraft around to prove himself. I always enjoy watching guys struggle with getting speed in late August when it's 98 deg and 95 % humidity- and then it rains :D

BTW,

you lie- yours is pretty quick ;)

helmut-

I got to looking at the 42 inch Seaducer I recently purchased, and low and behold it has a similar mod done to the front edge of the bow- Granted NO WHERE near as extreme as your pic. It runs from the leading edge of the outside strakes and goes back about 2 inches and is much less depth than yours. So either the nose got knocked off at one point in its life, or your on to something

Tell ya in a week or so how mine works.... ;)
