here is an e-mail I got from Mandy today.

"Hi Dan,

All is going well. Had the surgery on Tues. and is being moved out of surgery intensive care unit today to another floor. Seems to be slowly but surely recooperating. Thanks for your concern.

Sounds like he's on that long road to recovery.

That is good news. Both of my parents had heart surgery long before they passed. I know it extended their life tremendously.
