Know there's alot of trust or is it STUPIDITY.

I've had radio failer's and i now what it's like for your boat to get away from you i'd hate to get hit at 70 or 80.

And to be stupid enough to video it and show it on the net this video should be used to show poeple what not to do by IMPBA and NAMBA .

It's in Italy and there and all of europe they run rescue at the same time as the race. If you ever go to a WORLD competition you will see it is a common practise.

Scares the heck out of me too though! :(

A very long time ago my brother started running boats with us,one saturday at the lake we went after his dead boat while others were running. this was common then,he asked if any one would hit us. I said no one has even come close, about this time he raised an oar and swatted a sport40 just as it came towards us. GUESS what he missed it hit the john boat hard but stayed in the water. NO MORE OF THAT ...lol......Mikey

FSR races with 30 min heats allow the rescue crew to retrieve dead boats but it is a lack of common sense for sure!

You can go back to the 140 mph (or whatever) electric video and see they have no nets and no tall banks.

I saw John Finches boat go up a shore line like this and take a chunk out of a 2"x6" plank that was 50 feet from the water. It was probably going 80 mph.

I watched another heat racing boat come out of 6, fly of the water, and stike the rail on the retrieve boat that is parked half down the straight. The boat deflected of the retrieve boat and came sailing through the CD area in pieces. We have 10 foot banks and this boat was only going 70mph.
