Joe, I fully understand what you're talking about. If you are going to run a razor sharp turn fin or rudder and your boat does die during a race, I think that a warning to the retrieve boat crew would be in order. Yes, we have learned, most of the time by personal experience, the props are sharp, tuned pipes get hot but not used to turn fins being so sharp yet.

Do we need warning signs all over our hulls? "Caution, very sharp turn fin!"? Possibly. We've seen stupider lawsuits.

Yea I think to aire on cautions side is tha ticket, just be mindfull of what you do and try to watch the new guys.

What came to my mind was the rap that the three wheeled ATV got, I'll never forget how stupid the expose' was on 20/20, The older first generation three wheeler, the ATC 90, tiny rims and the big balloon low air pressure tires, on a steep incline and tha guy just touches the handelbars and it rolls down the hill, Crap everyone ran the later models, replaced those rims with alloys and wide turf tires, and lowered the forks in tha triple tree before racing, Totally outta hand call and POOF there gone,

Gene :D

Stupider lawsuits that have resulted in huge awards. Anybody that thinks the one getting hit is responsible hasn't much time in the court room. In the legal world, usually the one doing the hitting is doing the paying.

The bottom line is that we have spectators and kids at the races. They do not have the same understanding of harm we do. A knife blade turned into a turn fine is not needed and I feel like we should use more caution to protect the uninformed.

the whole threewheeler thing really pisses me off. i have one and they arent as dangerous as people make them out to be. you just have to know what the hell you are doing. the problem was these idiot parents would buy their 10 year old a 250r or some other racing bike and the kid would go out and go full throttle into a turn like a idiot the he would proceed to roll it killing himself.

bottom line: dont be a *******

well, it might be good if you go to a lake with lots of fish in it, then all you gotta do is net the fish up and fry them, otherwise, its just like playing knife games
