yeah it does... i mean ive done some midnight fishing trips before but 2am sounds like thy had a good night at the bar.. but you see the boat they had just a little rowboat...
 
There is no substitute for a good life vest. A number of years back I was slalom skiing behind a big block Baja haulin' the freight. Was cutting side to side getting that whipping action, the kind that gets you going so fast your eyes start watering & you find yourself ahead of the boat. Well I never saw the log that was floating just below surface level (a thunderstorm the night before had dislodged it from shore is what we assumed), hit it so hard the ski shattered & when I hit the water it knocked the wind completedly out of me, took over ten minutes to fully catch my breath again. Forget being able to swim, I was too busy trying to breathe! Needless to say that without that vest to keep me afloat by the time the boat slowed, turned around & came back I'd have been in Davy Jones' locker! :eek:
