Today was my last run for the 2014. Who would have thought I would be running and RC boat on a pond in Michigan on Dec. 26th.

See the attached picture

Guys,

Pond was frozen Tuesday but a warming trend with highs 45-50 and rain helped melt everything. We had a green Christmas.

Happy New Year All !!!

Looks like she's rippin in the turns,,, AWESOME picture.

As Steve say's, frame it... And I wouldn't mind having a copy of it myself

Yea, great picture, Bert! You need to frame that one for sure. Love that water coming off of the fin...............that boat's really honking and the fin is loaded up doing what it's supposed to be doing. Thanks for sharing!

Here is another picture from yesterday that I thought was pretty neat. Thanks to Garl Clement for taking them. It's the latest we've ever run by at least a couple of weeks.

Bert and Chris,

Glad you are still in the spirit of the season down their.

I have been running on West Bay still as long as the temperature

is above 40 degrees. We had our first Christmas here in Traverse City

without much snow on the ground. It was different after 11 years of white.

Boats looked good on the water, I bet you had nice air density yesterday?

I was out last week with an air density of 107 on my Kinsler Gauge. Never

saw over 106 in 25 years of boating, motor ran great on 65% Punch Fuel.

The 12 engine program is getting better and better, in fact I think we have

almost the same power as other older 21 motors now.

Very Happy To Be Testing In December,

Mark Sholund

Hi Mark, Yes, The engines were definitely liking the cool air yesterday and making great power. We'll have to talk .12 engines as I'm looking for ideas to get a bit more consistency.

Chris

I was wondering who was going to be out running yesterday. I was busy trying to find out if any deer were sticking around after the food disappeared (answer: not likely.)

You guys are nuts! If it wasn't for my knee I would be in the upper riding my snowmobile.

Mark,

The air density was up there. I restricted the water flow to about half on the Borris meter. Added a stinger one size down from normal, richen the needle and put an O'Donnel 287 plug in it. I ran both the X460 and 2316's you did for me. As you can see the motor, pipe and prop combination are all working great together, boat pulls hard through the corner. Never distorted a coil in the plug yesterday.

Guys thanks for the great compliments!!!

Garl, Thanks for being our cameraman!!!

Bert your a madman! Though I did think about going yesterday myself. Stayed home and took the Christmas lights down instead. It has been pretty mild here in the Mitten but looks like that's about to change next week. Bummer.

I'm still waiting for it to snow here. I've got an older Traxxas electric mono I want to see if I can get it to run around in the snow.

then I want to try my E hydro
