How far below the prop should my rudder go on my FF.12?

The rudder I have is 1" below the strut bottom, I have not run it yet.

My rudder on the Riptide 12 is 1-1/2" below the strut but it's a very thin blade rudder.

mines at about 1" below the strut. I should have left it at 1.25" to 1.5" <_<

maybe Mike will have better luck at 1"

After running with the rudder 1" below the strut I would say a little longer would be better for play. 1" will get you around a race coarse just fine.
