I hear ya Dave but then there's shots like this from '63 in Detroit, definitely not a sky blue-ND light blue 1962 - 1968I was planning on doing the Notre Dame but since nobody has been able to tell me the correct paint code for the blue and in every pic the blue seems a little different I'm looking at options..................
I recommend Rustoleum Spa Blue

great photo, thank you for posting. I know you're asking about the 6207 '62-'63 dropped sponson ND.I hear ya Dave but then there's shots like this from '63 in Detroit, definitely not a sky blue-ND light blue 1962 - 1968I was planning on doing the Notre Dame but since nobody has been able to tell me the correct paint code for the blue and in every pic the blue seems a little different I'm looking at options..................

the Crimmin photos are the most consistent photos available but most are of the conventional deck '64-'68 boats.
the majority show a light blue in sunny day light conditions. high resolution photos on CD available from
Eileen's son Ned Crimmin are very persuasive.
owner Shirley Macdonald's NDs were high dollar operations with virtually unlimited resources at that time.
posible that the original '62 ND had a slightly darker blue paint than the '64-'68 boats but I doubt it.
I think Shirley spec'd same light blue paint '62-'68 but I don't know that and I don't have paint number(s)
I think ambient light and type of color film used caused these color differences.
I'd like to know if the 6207 had a different blue than the 6407, 6707 and 6807 NDs.
I'd use a light blue on a 6207.
