hi fellow boaters ,just picked up a roadrunner 20 outrigger hydro. have stripped it down and would like to make it lighter if possible. it weighed in at 4.9 pounds minus fuel. i have contacted ralph but are just wondering if anyone would have a set of ultralight front sponsons and rears sponsons aswell that they dont need. i am going to get a lighter engine mount also because the original one seems heavy.i am going to add a speedmaster mini rudder , should this work well . this rigger will have a nova ,or go 7 port stock in it running on 50% nitro. can anyone tell me what props work well on this rigger for heat racing also ,, all info and advice welcomed . thanks jason. also looking for 2 x spare cowls if anyone has any,, cheers..

Jason, post a couple pictures of the boat on here. How is the motor mounted? Through the tub sides?

If they will work (would have to see a couple pictures and get a couple measurements) I have some Type II machine Grade PVC engine rails here drilled and tapped for a nova/go .21 case. I made them for mine a couple other buddies rigger projects this winter, but have a few sets to spare. They are about as light as you can get for a motor mount. You can PM me if you want too, would be glad to mail you out a set of them if they will fit. Just cover shipping.

hi rodney cheers for the help but i have the engine mounts sorted from a guy here in oz near me,,im more interested in the sponsons ,rear and front,, cheers jase,,

Hi Lickety,

Whats the front boom tube spacing - I might have something that may work. I've changed boom spacing on my newest creation but the sponsons I had on my last 21 rigger might fit.

As for a Prop - 1450 @ 46mm with 3.75" cup, or a H7 full diameter with 3.75 - 3.8" should do nicely.
