is a flywheel necessary on a small engine like a .12 if it has a pullstart? I was thinking if you went without a flywheel, maybe it would be able to spin a bigger prop,and the weight and friction of the flexshaft,prop shaft and prop should be enough to keep it from hurting anything as long as you aren't free revving it to the moon out of the water.. (just a question from a newbie)

You want a flywheel as it "stores"energy. No flywheel & it might not launch at all..... :blink:
