Replacing the stock 46 head water fittings with 90's

Hey guys,

Has anyone replaced the stock straight water fittings on the Nova 46 water cap with 90 degree fittings? If so, which ones? It looks lije they are 6mm. Course or fine? Thank you.

Don't remember the brand but got a bunch from acutech, their the standard course threaded on's, just drilled out the oddball fine threads and re-tapped them for the more typical course threaded varity.

I just re-tap them to 10-32, there are many 90 degree fittings available for that size thread.

I tapped mine out to 10-32 and it distorted the inside of the water jacket where it meets the head button. Just thought I should share this. I think there might not have been enough material between the jacket and the head button.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Sounds like re-tapping to course threads, but leave as 6mm diameter may be the best way to go.

look 6mm thread too big?? most 2.5mm to 3mm thread" fine" for water cap

I have plugged the original holes with j-b weld and then started from scratch with a new hole . this also works if you need to "adjust" them to your cowl.
