On my 12 cell pack i found a bad cell while running my LSH hydro the other 11 cells where between 115-125 farenheight the bad one at 290 f .This pack is soldered with the cells end to end using the hammer head iron 1 club member mentioned that there is no way of taking the pack apart without destroying the cell next to it . Is this true ? is there any methods i could try to get the cells apart without destroying them ?The pack is only 1 year old IB 3800's I WOULD LIKE TO REPAIR IT should of solder the cells using battery bars the same way i did 8 years ago any suggestions would be welcome. Regards Andris Golts.

Back when I was running offroad buggies, I would build my packs end to end. I would rematch every 3 months or so. To take the packs apart, I grab each cell and bent them so they wuold pop apart. I then clean up the ends with a wire wheel brush and into the matcher. This was with 1200 & 1400 SCR. That tells you how long ago that was. Man the top cell of the day was a 1700. I am dating myself. I never ruined any of my cells.

My luck with this has been mixed... With the newer cells, it's a crap-shoot as to whether the endcaps will be broken loose INSIDE the cell... I had several appear to be fine, but later found to have become unattached internally when the joint was broken...

I'd say give it a shot, but be sure the test the surrounding cells before reassembling to make sure they weren't damaged... I've taken mine appart by hanging the offending cell over the edge of my counter-top and giving it a quick wrap with a block of wood or ???... The joints shock apart fairly easily...
