REK Lower Units - Who makes them?

Years ago Jim Irwin was involved in building the black Valox / Fiberglass injected lower units and I remember the units had his name on them
when they first came out. I was told that Bill Rennick had the molds for these lower units. What has happened to these? I see where the
FE guys are using them. Dose anyone know the status of these lower units?

Hi Karl,
Most of the FE guys moved to OS lowers or Lawless. I don't know if the REK's are still available.

I never was too crazy about them. I was hoping to find the shop they were made in mostly.

They were made by Richard E. Konen (REK) who owned an injection molding shop somewhere in the Tampa area. The old website was REKmachine.com, but that website is no longer active.

R.E.K lower units are awsome for 4 s power had a friend purchase couple for me of ebay. Regards Andris Golts.
