Not true, I've seen guys their first time at a saws bust 70 with an aeromarine cat..They'd done not much more than bought it from the right source..

Jay admits that his q record should get blasted to smitherines with the lipo power we have now.. (not that his record isn't extremely tall and respectable)

Sevral ways to hit 70 without breaking the bank.. A Novak motor in a rigger on 4s will hit 70 all year.. And that's not an expensive setup..

bill, Jay does admit that the record will be broken, it does not take any kinda voodoo to know that. Since you are mentioning quotes, maybe should mention that Jay had an 80mph pass but could not back it up for whatever reason... a 74.3 mph cat is not an easy feat regardless of the angle you look at it, and that is the hull that Eatmywake was trying to get at first, now he wants a rigger.

Anyone that goes to the SAW events never has a budget setup (only you that I know of), specially with Cat setups, takes some muscle to get them going.

Budget is never an issue with me or my setups.. Anyone who knows me knows also knows that I spare zero expenses with my SAWS boats, or anything I compete with for that matter..

Boats I run are tricked out all the way from titanium fasteners, to 35$ high silver content solder.. My setups may be different, but never budget minded..

And for the record, my budget is FAR beyond what most will stick their hands in their pocket to pay and YES I've got horsepower.. First of all I'm HEAVILLY sponsored by BBY which has any boat, motor, or speedo my heart can desire

I spent 10,000 in travel alone this year, and at the end of the day.. Have the trophies plaques, badges and records to show for EACH place I've went..

Nobody is trying to scare anyone here, the man just does not need to think that it is a breeze to achieve what he is looking for. I just want him to have a little sense of reality. Just accept it, people have different opinions then you.
