Ok quick question. What is the difference between the R324SBS and the R334SBS.

The R334SBS has the faster response rate "SR" mode which is mostly applicable to car guys where they run really quick steering servo's. For boats the R324SBS is more than adequate.

If you struggle to keep radio boxes dry, I highly recommend MG Chemicals conformal coating.
MG Chemicals Silicone Conformal coating

This is a brush on 1 stage coating that works exceptionally well to protect against dunking or moisture. It's a little tricky coating the multiple boards within the Futaba receivers and you have to avoid the servo pins, buttons and antenna's. I am doing this step instead of Corrosion X and have had zero issues. It's probably not approved by Futaba so do it at your own risk.

Another thing that is worth noting.. The TX would need to be capable of providing that rate (SR). ether RX "would" work.. Response and speed are not the same thing so we "could" benefit from SR mode. (I dont think my game is good enough for it but others maybe..LOL)

Isn’t there also a servo compatibility issue when in SR mode. Seems to me when I was investigating a new radio that came up about a lot of buzzing of servos.

Yes.. BUT.. you dont have to "operate" the system in SR mode.. you have a choice to turn that on or off when not using servos designed for SR operation.

If memory serves me.. you can even turn off SR.. or maybe its HR... anyway.. to individual channels. So if you have a HPS 700 on steering and a digi on throttle.. you can still use the 700 in SR.. (I have to re-check that)..lol.. cripes.. I can not remember! LOL

Fair enough. I went with the R334SBS last year when I got my 7PX in a hurry when my 4PX failed before the Internats. That's what came with the 7PX at the time.
