Hi Terry,

Sorry, but they are all crap... <_< I doubt that the Art Attack is still on the market. Not any good materials and if you get it together it runs no good. If you have a decent motor in it you will dig down to the dirt standing still on the snow. The main fault with all attemptions that I know of making an snowmobile are that they are basically too small. They would need to have been twice the size so there is some "size" on the drivebelt etc. We had an Swedish version in the 80's also and it was no good either... Sorry.

The brand name & manufacturers by the way of the Art Attack was "Nitro Elements".

Here's an old article:

Here's a shop selling them!?

My local Walmart has this electric Ski-Doo for $69. It is about the size of a 1/8 scale buggy and appeared to be reasonably well made for a toy. It runs on a 6cell pack with probably a 540 motor. I was thinking of buying one and converting it into .12 power or something.

Yes I know it is a toy but I am after the sorta scale body and the drive train. If anyone has bought one, perhaps for their kids, I would like to know about the quailty.

Hey Terry, I have one of the snowmobliles made by New Bright called the SkiDoo it is all plastic and I don't think that it could handle being converted over to nitro. The plus about it is they made it very realistic looking likle somebody skank it down to make a nice toy out of it, but with a fully charged battery you can only get about 5 to 6 MPH out of it, the only bad thing I found on mine is that both ski's toe in real bad and no way to adjust it because if the steering linkage if it is possible a person couild probably put different linkage on it to make it adjustable. I wanted to get a nitro powered snowmoblie but after buying this electric one kind of turned me away from them. I'll stick to my Big Swamp buggy to play with in the snow it is a lot more fun. Which ever way you go I hope it works for you. Dave

I might be interested in one for snow cross tacing during winter if they go to mass production and the price was reasonable.
