Guys,

Other than E-City, where is there oval racing in North Carolina? Anything towards the west side or in TN or SC?

Thx,

Tyler

Tyler,

We have a practice site in Wake Forest.

Sadly, the only remaining club holding races in NC and SC is the Charleston SC club, host of the IMPBA Fall Nationals. Charlotte and Greensboro, NC, and the Gaffney SC, used to have clubs in the past but no longer.

Thanks guys, that is kind of what I was afraid of. No commitments yet, but I may be in West NC next year permanently.

Tyler my friend, you will be in as much "Culture Shock" as I was when I moved from Tennessee to California. I am not saying that it will be worse, just different, like another country, even the language is different, hehehe.

PS: I have a book that may help you with the language difference....it is called "How to speak Southern"

Just get use to drinking Sweet Tea and you will be fine...

Hi Charles,

I think the bigger shock is the landscape. Lush forests versus our desert conditions and of course the weather. I do prefer our dry rub BBQ style to the sweet southern style, but this is manageable.

Martin,

It would be in the Asheville area.

Stan,

The sweet tea is something I could easily adopt!

Tyler, Man this is sad news for all of dist. 19 & all the friends you have here on the west coast. I know family and job come first, but you sure will be missed here!

Don't worry yet Don, nothing is set in stone and I have a big golf bag for riggers to bring on planes with.
