Bill,

I have an extra broadband Verizon 4G Router at my office I can send to you to use until your system is back in operation. Just send me a PM with your address and I can ship it out tomorrow. We appreciate what you bring to the hobby and the use of your software. Let me know. Thanks.

Ron, that 4g router will only work in a Verizon footprint area, check with Bill to see if he lives in a 4g area. I deal with the stuff everyday at Verizon. A better suggestion would be to have a server at your place with redundant setup of rcracingevents for situations like this.

Hey Charles,

I can do either one. Bill can let me know if this 4G Router can get him back operational until his broadband is back online. If not, there are other options out there I am sure. Point is, there is a tremendous amount of talent amongst the members of this IW group, and if we offer suggestions and reach out to help, there is no limit to what can be accomplished.

Here it is in a nutshell the current site has crashed on many clubs before they were able to get the event created leaving them with no data and therefore a scramble to try and even have a race or cancel all together. There is a club with an event this weekend and the site is down again! I think the hobby deserves better than that.

No one was talking crap, just stating facts and I see facts hurt! There are many that agree with me as there are many on your side that really don't see the problem!

Good Day!

Hey Ron you are correct. It used to crash occasionally. I can only one day hope to be as proficient at writing bug free code as yourself. Everyone here knows that your product never crashes...

I'm out.

Back to working on my toy boats.

Paper, pen, entry form. Mail....

Heat sheet, copier.

Works when it is needed.Sat up many a night typing heat sheets at Gene Mongars house.....

There's ALWAYS an option. Didn't say it was easy.

Premo, I did the index cards with info and class. Wrote the freq # on the back, turn them down mix um up and set heats. I was never accused of homeboy rules. It was work, but I loved every minute. We were having fun racing boats.

Bill what you do for the sport is great and we thank you for doing this for free and wont take any money from us

LMAO! Nobody was bashing your friend! Out of his hands? I think its the leading site on the whole internet for down time!!

If your going to offer a service such as this it MUST be dependable otherwise the club stands to loose all its race data on race week and then be forced to wing it or cancel, such as the club scheduled to have a race this coming weekend and many other clubs which I have helped out in the past!
You know, I have kept my mouth shut on this but I have one question for you.

It should be difficult for you to criticize someone for a free service that was done for the love of the hobby.

I bet that you wouldn't do this if your were face to face. That is one of the really stupid things about the Internet and Email. People are really brave when they can do things with no fear. People say things that they would NEVER say to someones face.

I am sure that there are no "hidden agendas" here....

I am really tired of this bashing.

So stating that another club has lost its event data is bashing, seems like a fact to me not bashing!

Its really hard to understand how some people can be so clueless to the problem. Many Clubs have counted on the site and it failed them at the time they needed it most. Leaving those clubs holding the bag to cancel or find an alternative means to have the planned event of which all data is lost to them.

There is no hidden agenda I simply think the hobby deserves better than to be counting on a site only to be let down.

There is a very simple solution to the problem yet few see what the problem really is.

I really can't afford to spend my own money to create a more dependable site however I was willing to do so, sorry you can't appreciate that fact! Take your heads out of your ***** then you might see where the problem lies!

Maybe now that I have fired it up at least real support will be available. So if there is an improvement you will have me to thank!
