If your interested in knowing your prop pitch you may want to look at the VooDoo Prop Pitch gauge. While first using the gauge I was surprised to find that the only props that actually measured the same as the spec sheet were my ABC Cleaver series, 3 out of 3 showed the exact #s on both blades. In addition its very simple to use! Tim

The first pitch gauge I built was in the 60's for full sized outboard props and used 45 degrees as the base unit ie: 8 x 45 = 360. My first gauge used pointers and a 6 inch machinist scale, I would start with the stylist at the leading edge and swipe 45 degrees and a second pointer would touch the blade and I would take a reading and multiply by 8 and get the pitch reading. More later - time to go to dinner. I did update to digital eventually.

Thanks, John
