Hi, I am hoping you guys can help shed light on a question I have about prop and rudder placements.
I have been playing around with electric boats and they mostly have offset rudders placed behind the front of the prop.
I am now working on converting over a couple of big gas boats to electric. 52" Enforcer and 55" Scarab.
The Enforcer comes with 2 rudders mounted in front of the prop.
The rudders and strut that came with the Dumas are the same way, but the prop and rudders are much closer to the transom.
(Bought it used from someone who was going to convert it but never got around to it)
Are these setups going to work right?
Is there a reason the gas boats have the prop out back unlike all the electrics I have?
Thanks for any info/help you guys can provide.
Erik
