That is a great idea! I still have my Prather 40. it is striped down but with a little love it might make a fun knock around boat to play with on the weekends.

Dumas 1/8 th 1990 U-31 I need the layout plan for the paint . I lost my original so ill have to call dumas for another and the color samples. Im not going through all the trouble of formulas and all that stuff ill match it by eye. I just need the color sample that dumas provides. That will be good enough for me

This is where the theme of my prather comes from. Althought it looks like i was biting off Shawn's Jae, I wasnt. Note Shawns Jae still looks alot better but I liked this guise on the deep vee.

I really need some drivers to go in this Vee. i figur its a little under a 12th scale of the real thing so; I guess some 1/12th scale drivers would work???????? for sanctioned events.

So have a look in the forsale section. There is a what is basically a Dumas Circus that was done by Mike Luszcz. Contact him here spoonfx or something like that. He will set you straight on the colors. I used to have one of those and I sold a brand new kit of that last year. Don't have the instructions anymore. Other place to look is RCU in the boats section. Those guys usually post the colors used.

Im good on that kevin Thanks.Mike is not an option$$$. Im going to go the route I told you on the circus. If you can help me with the colors its all good otherwise Ill go with the color patches and layout plans provided by dumas. Ive seen alot of circus boats and some small details tend to get missed. I really want to make painting it painless, but still looking good.

OH! kevin if you have an instruction manual to mach3 software hit me up Id like to get my cnc running. The instructions were in chinese. im having a problem importing the gerber file to g code. Is laser the only fixture you got for your CNC rig? Copper cam is the application I want to run. Look it up on google and see if you can help me.I need it to do my PCB's .

So as I understand it your Gerber file is what you put into Copper Cam and it should spit out your g-code that mach3 uses to control your machine. I am not familiar with Copper Cam but like any other Cam file this is what defines your tool path. It sounds like you are having an issue with the Copper Cam if you are not getting a g-code.

Yes it doesnt like the gerber im sending to it; so I cant get the g code established for the mill. Im using dip trace as the drawing software but I have inventor 9 as well havent tried it though.

I took the shims out of the kb so it will do okay but I'm looking for a castle 1717 at a reasonable price. I have some nitro motors for trade and some brushless stuff to. I have a turnigy 4030 1400kv in great condition that id let go for the old price 30 dollars plus shipping;not the 60 bucks they cost. Im trying to cookie jar my new motor instead of coming straight outta pocket;while accumulating a bunch of stuff I dont need. Every little bit helps.I also want to run a small prop dont ask me why.

Some progress! I still need some driver figures for this boat. HELP! PLEASE! What do you gentlemen think would be a better motor to run a castle 1717 or a leopard 4082 ?Kevin can you do these decals?Oh and thanks a million for the english pdf of mach 3 now I can play yaaay!

Progress! WTB NEU 1527 1.5Y Leopard 4082 or castle 1717 or even a leo 5692 1090 kv. Hatch is primed. Needs sanding then a base white. 6260 ppg olympic white, frost white. Stripes laid with dupli-color rattle cans red and clear. All left are the team logos and some drivers for the exterior.Then ill upholster the hull floor then add new engine rails,radio gear and electronics. AS is this boat does not let in any water in. :lol: At this 40 inch length and light hull I guess its in a Qmono class.Anyone have suggestions for the logos?
