Anybody out there wrapping their pipes? What are you using and where can I get it?

I may be mistaken, but I believe people are using self-fusing silicone tape. If you do an internet search you'll find plenty of sources.

I've used car Header wrap from Advance Auto comes n two widths, used it to keep temps down in a thunder boat

RC PAINTER turned us on to this product from MENARDS, It's a repair tape of Self-Bonding Silicone Wrap and come in 1"x 10 foot roll.

The product #HTP-1010. It comes in yellow and black and blue. I don't understand what paint or ceramic coating dose other then keeping a hotter temperature inside the pipe for better engine performance. We use it to help us from burning our hands and forearm in the pits when handling, lunching, or retrieving our boat before and after a hot heat of racing.

The silicone tape on a pipe keeps the heat in the pipe and you can run a richer needle and it all so tricks the pipe thinking it is shorter then it is.

More heat more fuel more horse power.
