i have tried 2 different 45 nitro pipes that just dont seem to let my motor breathe enough we lost the one that worked (loud as heck but a good pipe)my motor just blows the pipe off its header motor is an ops 45 in a aeromarine sprint cat also anyone have a good prop for this boat i was runniong a 1450 that screamed in the straigths but woulndt stay up in the turns tried a x450 and it just bogs the motor down tooo much tried a preather235 that was worked a bit and it just cavitated any help is greatly appriciated

CMD muffled .45 Brown's pipe is the best I tried on my boats.Lot of charge and very quiet too.

Try the X447/3 or the X448 they will work on your .45 cat.

That's the pipe I've been running on my SG21 equipped with a P45 Black head at our last saw event consistantly!

oh yeah i forgot to mention the cat was originally for a 21 so that will affecxt my prop choice i think as well a little bit

What lenght are you using in your boat because a .21 cat equipped with a .45 engine should be able to turn the X450.Anyway I would recommend to you try the X447/3 a good prop for heat race.MAC or Prather .45 nitro pipes will work too!

pipe works good now i just secured it better comes on pipe a little late so i should shorten it i bit but i tried a x447 2 blade i had and this thing flies it will beat my gas challenger that runs about 50 mph but this little cat doesnt like the chop thanks for all the help guys i have a little boat that just boogies now i almost start shakin from the adrenalin rush it give you driving it it just turns on a dime nothing liek the gas boats they are fast boat steer like a little cruise boat

Shortening the pipe will make it come on later but pull more rpm. If you want it to come on sooner you will need to lengthen it, or back cut the prop near the hub.

Tim.

Edit: Sorry Clay - didn't see your post!

Hi Robert

On my riggers I use to drill the baffle but for a cat I would first try and then make a mod.

Also glad to see that your baby is now flying.......maybe I forgot your name
