Really looking at building the new whiplash p or gen 3 But unsure... with the current released version does it require you to build a jig? I noticed with the backlash Gen 3 a jig isn't required.

Also is that motor mount 3D printed?? If so do you know where I can get the STL and did you print in ABS?

You do not need a special jig to build a Whiplash, just a really good flat surface. I use finished shelf boards that allow the sponsons to hang over the edge. Then shim the sides of the board so it holds the sponsons straight.
The motor mount pictured has been replaced as we found it worked as a heat insulator rather than a disapator. Sam Hagan did the 3d printed part. We have since changed the front to an aluminum plate ,which seems to be working. It still a work in progress.
