My Brian Buaas' Raptor runs a UL-1 motor, Turnigy 120 speed control, Turingy 40C, 4000 mah battery, and a modified S-15 prop. Eric Bourlet just set a NAMBA heat race record with his JAE of around 1:20. Eric makes a nice epoxy tub for the JAE. My batteries are starting to puff even though they still perform well. Next time I think I'll run 5000 mah batteries for a little more capacity.

P Sport Hydro:

Sport Hydro hull maximum length 34"

Any Motor

Any ESC

4S Lipos up to 10,000 mAh capacity

P-Ltd Sport Hydro:

Same as above, except for the motor. Electric motors from common RTR's are spec'd (The UL-1 motor from Aquacraft 2030 Kv is the most common).

Seeing you're in Vegas, if you're talking about what's been running at some of the Dist 19 events, it's typically Michaud's Insane FE 30, with a few custom built Whiplashes and possibly a Phil Thomas Sport 20 thrown in there as well.

Dist 19 has been back and forth between P Sport Hydro and P-Ltd Sport Hydro this year, but typically the same hull, batteries and ESC are used for either class. It only requires a motor swap. However, the Insane sport Hydro was really built around the spec (less powerful) motors and IMO, it's better racing. Less DNF's due to overpowered boats.

Common Dist 19 P-Sport setup: Insane 30 Sport Hydro hull, Neu/Castle 1515 1Y or Feigeo 8XL motor, single 4S, 5000 mAh battery pack (some run 6500 mAh packs), and an ESC rated at 150 amps or more. X445 prop +/-.

Common Dist 19 P-Ltd Sport setup. Same as above, except the UL-1 motor is used.
