Outboard Mufflers???????????

Hey Everyone,

What are you running for mufflers this year. What works and what is junk. I am not happy about having to run a muffler on the back of my 20 Tunnel but the rules are the rules. Thanks TB

Why not make a film can muffler and stick it on the back of your current tune pipe? I did an article on how to build one for RC Boat Modeler a couple of years ago.

I'm running an Irwin 3.5 Quiet Pipe on my CMB 21 Greenhead OB and it does a good job of muffling. On my Silver Bullit 3.5 pipe from HTB Boats, I'm running a film can muffler on that pipe on my O.S. RG conversion from Tim Fulton.

Mike Tyson is makes an awesome muffler for a steal.....he'll custom make one for your pipe, no matter how difficult [he's spent mucho timo crimping one of my pipes in just to get it to accept a muffler]

I am currently experimenting with using the front half of the Equi pipe and the back half of the CMDI muffled pipe on my Mac 21. I think that I had the quietest pipe at the 21 Shootout,and the performance was pretty good too!
