Hello everyone,

I am trying to find some info on modifying my K&B 7.5 outboard to Electric. I have a NEU motor and would like to find an adaptor plate so that I can mount it to the lower end of the K&B outboard. If anyone has any info or can direct me where to go I would greatly appreciate it.

There re several options out there for adaptor plates. However get in contact with Kris Flynn. He mods the lower units so that the motor sits lower down reducing the center of gravity. It is a very neat modification and worth looking into. I for one have it done on all my electric lawless lower units.

The motor I have as a NEU 1515 that produces 60K RPM.

this is some of the work Kris does.

I also run ths same setup.

1515/1y on my OBT and it goes well. That was on a villain S1 converted. however it was to small so building another larger hull for 4s power. Villain has been converted to a UL1 motor.

I have a Aeromarine Preditor 7.5/11.0 hull. I figure the 1515/2.5 on a 6s 30c discharge pack will be just fine. At least I hope it will. If anyone has a diff suggestion I am all ears.

Got my Kris Flyn conversion for OS leg yesterday... DAMN SWEET piece of work hes made there!
 
beautiful boats, luv the steering set ups and trim, not to mention how well it runs.
Any one have a picture of the Kris Flyn adapter kb to electric?
 
I have the Hyperformance 3.5 with adapter on a VS-1. It was high and when turning tight at speed it would roll over. I had a 3674 Leopard and changed to a 3650. Lost about 7 mph but really helped with rolling over. Seems to be very "height" sensitive. Don't know if it is possible but a shorter or no adapter would be nice on the Huperformance.
