Hello guy's,

Thinking of putting together an A mono boat and was looking at motors tonight. Was wondering how the OPS .21 Side Exhaust motor ran compared to say a MAC or CMB. I seem to see the OPS .21 for over half less than the other's, but there is obviously a reason for it.

Is the .21 SE OPS a good motor for a seaducer hull or would I be better off with something else.

Thanks

Dave

Better OPS 21 would be their supermarine rear exhaust. Much more powerful & extremely reliable once you get correct head clearance which should be 12 thousanths.

I have been running this engine for 3 years & have had no problems once I adjusted head clearance. This engine loves 65% nitro. fuel.

i would agree the blue head supermarine motor is a beast its often overlooked but there is alot of power once the set up is there. this motor with the ops 3280 pipe is a killer combo it's close to the nova rossi

Dave, I don't have one, but I've seen good comments about the OPS and the similarly priced OS. However, these engines will not give you the same level of performance as the more expensive OPS model, or those from MAC, CMB, or Nova Rossi.

I just put an OPS21RE in my B mono. It runs good out of the box. My question is "what head are you guys running? Is it the standard plug or the trobo plug? What header also?
