i'm no cat expert.... far from it..... but I think you might need to make the hatch opening a little more toward the front?

Hello Guys,

Looks perfect for electrics. I'd love to get my hands on some plans to build one. I like the beam, the German boats in that length are way too narrow, more like 8 inches.

Hi

Very nice drawings - depending on what you planned on using to power it if Nitro I would be tempted to widen it an inch or so. The extra width will make it more stable from torque in a straight line and help slow the weight transfer to the outside during highspeed turns.

Hi

forgot to mention tunnel tunnel looks a little shallow - may be worth considering inside tunnel spray rails to help with the set while cornering. Really nice renderings.

I would put more angle on the steps so it only rides on the back of the steps, this helps reduce the wetted area. The non-tip chine could be steeper too, almost flat bottom with a shallow angle non-trip will make it boucey in anything but smooth conditions.

Way cool modeling though.

Strech it to 40" long, deeper tunnel, engine pod (to lower engine) and I would build it! ;D

OK. I have moved thte hatch opening, made it an 1" wider and changed angles. I do plan on using nitro for power. I have 2 3.5's at home and thinking about using both of them. I have also thought about an inboard. I want to get the design finished and then build the hull first.

The design is my own and another bored at work project.

Napkin sketches....I've saw those a few times when I was doing engineering changes on molds at work. ;D I bet if you ask Wade that he has seen the same thing.

Well when you are bored at work with nothing to do why not make boats. :)
