First two pictures...Dragonfly 40 built in 1976. Hirtenberg 40 engine with Octura Kool Klamp. First R/C boat that my dad and I built. Going to get it running this spring.

The other four pictures are of my re-configured vintage (1988) 40 hydro.

Nice to see a DRAGONFLY I had one I ran in the 70's it was the first kit boat I ran it was a .21 size with a Taipan 3.5 gold head it was a heavy boat or maybe i was younger then lol

Nice to see that engine upgrade to the 40 hydro !
Thanks Joe. I updated the motor mounts, added a 3rd channel for the remote needle, replaced the aluminum tubes with CF, and modified the front sponsons a bit. Have run just over a gallon of fuel through the motor. So far it looks promising. I will race it someplace this summer.
The rejuvenation of the DF is so that I can give my son-in-laws a chance to try a boat out. Maybe get one of them to race someday.

No comment on the lantern fuel gas tank?
